What cloud computing is ?

The phrase – “Cloud Computing” is highlighting focussed issue of time. If you have still not understood what this term basically means, you’re way behind because you already experience cloud computing in more than half of your computing involvement. In crude terms, the word cloud acts as metaphor for Internet, hence the phrase means online , web-based computing. While this term is referred now and then in news, blogs, views & reviews; it has its root from very beginning. Webhosting, email service- all these are examples of cloud computing concept. You pay for a third party web-based service on usage terms. You don’t need to buy expensive hardware and software. You don’t need to maintain the equipments and risk about failures. You just have to pay if you use a web service either on usage terms or on duration terms. Google apps, google online documents, webhosting, online music, etc are all due to this concept. All your computing happens online. Google is strong voter of cloud computing and to this effect, it has lined up its new os Google chrome os – fully cloud computing powered.

Cloud computing is also one of the criticised case at present. While everybody has its own needs but with such unreasonable development of cloud computing, I doubt real development. Cloud computing is defending the technology  in uncommon way and making it beyond the reach of common people. It would be surprising to learn that internet is door to the root of every technology but with such effect, it might prove to be a blockade.
