VLC 1.0.5 – It has been released on 31 January, 2010. Soon vlc 1.1 will come, till then upgrading to this version of vlc would be a smarter choice.

After more than 51 million downloads of VLC 1.0.3, this version is specially aimed towards Windows and Mac platforms, and brings various fixes, speed improvements and translations updates.
The Windows version benefits speed-ups from both an updated compiler (gcc 4.4.2) and codecs updates.
The Mac version brings support for the latest Apple Remote and updated codecs too.
Some antivirus have wrongly detected a virus in the Windows release, if you want the VideoLAN team can suggest better antivirus or operating sytem, on request.

Thats good news now. I love VLC as it helps me run most of my video files without downloading any extra codecs.
